Weekend Preview 10.17.15

by Bombers Staff

The Barrhead Bombers will shift their attention to Provincial Division rival, Meadow Lake Mustangs, for two games and a single game against the Cold Lake Hornets. All games are on the road. The Bombers will face the Mustangs tomorrow at 7:30 PM and Sunday at 2 PM. The game against the Hornets is slated for Saturday at 7:30 PM.

The Bombers and Mustangs have never played each other before. Meadow Lake finished near the bottom of the standings last year and struggled to gain momentum but have started this year with a win. The Mustangs defeated the Cold Lake Hornets—another weekend rival of Barrhead—last week by a score of 6-4.

Barrhead will want to keep an eye on Ostin Fontaine, Shane Hounsell and Erik Ehrmantraut who all had points. The Mustangs have a former Bomber in Erik Ehrmantruat who had six goals and four assists as a member of the Long Beach Bombers in previous years.

The second opponent for the Bombers are the Cold Lake Hornets who Barrhead defeated 10-2 and 9-2 to open the season.  13 total Bombers are going into this weekend with points with Dmitro Kobylnyk (4G-4A-8Pts.) leading the way.
